BitTorrent will launch P2P social network in the second quarter of 2019

The BitTorrent company, belonging to Tron, announced the launch of a public beta version of its own decentralized social network BitTorrent Live in the second quarter of 2019.

In the new platform of the social network, the focus is on video. Users can create their own content in real time, contact other people through mobile devices and search, what they are interested. Stringing service will allow you to conduct live broadcasts from anywhere where there is an internet connection, and the audience will be able to leave comments and put likes.

The company reported that it already offers preliminary access to the platform.

The idea of BitTorrent Live is not new, since representatives of the company discussed the launch plans such a product since 2012. The first version was a new protocol of content delivery, not a social network application, but further developments stopped in 2017 due to lack of funds for allocating services to a separate business.

Despite the launch of new BitTorrent projects, according to one of the former campaign managers, the TRON blockchain is not able to independently process the flow of transactions necessary for the complete text of the service.
